How to Use:
- Surface to be repaired should be clean, dry, unpainted and free from grease or oil.
- Dents in steel and aluminium body work can be punched or drilled to give a positive key for Selleys Plasti-Bond if it is to be subjected to excessive vibration.
- Stir Plasti-Bond Heavy Duty before use.
- Add 2.5cm length of hardener to every 20ml (heaped tablespoon) of Plasti-Bond Heavy Duty. Mix in hardener by working the product from side to side until colour has blended and uniform colour is achieved. If faster setting time is required, or in cold weather, add more hardener.
- Apply with a putty knife slightly overfilling to allow for sanding. Where several separate fillings have to be made, use less hardener and take your time. Feather edges for a perfect finish. It is easier to smooth off most of the excess with a Surform or Dreadnought file before it becomes rock hard (between 20 and 30 minutes). Ordinary files or sandpaper may be used once rock hard (after about 30 minutes).
- Paint with water or oil-based paints.
- Clean tools with mineral turps before product cures. Replace lid after use and store in a cool place.
Clean Up:
- Uncured product may be removed with mineral turps.
- Cured product can be removed by sanding and scraping.
