- The Brumby SS Polishing Compound is ideal in polishing applications on aluminium and aluminium alloys where a high quality finish is desired.
Directions for use:
- Most buffs have a tapered centre bore, and may be mounted on the left or right of your grinder using a tapered spindle.
- Select the correct buffs and compounds for your job. Initial cutting can be done with a fastcut compound and either a stitched sisal or a stitched rag buff followed by a polishing compound and a loose leaf buff. For best results, never use different compounds on the one buff – keep a separate buff for each compound.
- Apply the compound across the face of the rotating buff for a few seconds, taking care not to apply too much compound which will overload the buff. It is far better to apply a little compound more frequently than to over dress the buff.
- After applying the compound to the buff, bring the work piece into contact with the buff and with light pressure, move back and forth across the job.
- After polishing, remove any compound residue left on the work piece with mineral turpentine or methylated spirits, or warm soapy water.
